Safix is building the Vehicle Operations OS — the infrastructure layer for how vehicles are managed, moved, and serviced.

We’re starting with a “driver-for-your-car” model in Milan and scaling toward a full mobility marketplace:

designated drivers, fleet SaaS, and data-driven insurance and financing.

Current status:

• Product already built (Flutter + Laravel)

• Infrastructure live (AWS)

• Legal structure in place (US / EU)

• First city partner signed

We are pre-launch and preparing to go live.

The Role

This is not a typical dev job.

You will be the first engineer in the company, working directly with the Founder & CEO and taking full ownership of the product.

There will be no:

• clearly defined tasks

• established processes

• existing team

There will be:

• code you need to understand

• a system that needs stabilization

• a product that needs to be launched

This role is for someone who can figure things out independently and make decisions.

The Technical Challenge

This is not a CRUD app.

You’ll be working with:

• real-time logic (driver allocation, GPS tracking)

• payments and transactions (Stripe)

• vehicle handoff systems (including photo verification)

• preparing the architecture for multi-city scaling

This requires not just speed, but the ability to think in systems.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of existing mobile apps (Flutter) and backend (Laravel)

• Understand the current codebase and bring it to production stability

• Design APIs, databases, and real-time features

• Improve CI/CD, testing, and code quality

• Make architectural decisions as the system evolves

• Help shape the future engineering team

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience

• Strong proficiency in Flutter and Laravel (or equivalent)

• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, real-time systems

• Experience with payments (Stripe preferred) and geolocation

• High ownership mindset and ability to work without micromanagement

Bonus:

• experience in mobility, logistics, or marketplace platforms
