Job Summary
The incumbent will play a key role in offering strategic guidance and tailored advice on asset management solutions. By leveraging their expertise, will help optimize client portfolios and drive business growth, ensuring the delivery of high-quality investment products and services that align with client needs and market opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
Client Needs Assessment and Portfolio Recommendations:
- Assess and understand clients’ investment needs and goals, and propose tailored investment portfolios that align with their objectives and risk profiles
- Provide strategic advice to clients on asset allocation, rebalancing, and portfolio diversification, ensuring optimal performance and risk management
Investment and Product Marketing
- Serve as an expert in all aspects of the investment banking business, especially regarding marketing and sales of investment products and services
- Provide technical and product-related support to the investment sales team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information to promote and sell products effectively
Asset Allocation
- Lead the development and implementation of asset allocation models, and advise on the reallocation of assets based on market conditions and client objectives
- Regularly review and adjust asset allocation strategies to ensure they remain aligned with changing client needs and market dynamics
Portfolio Valuations and Revaluations
- Oversee the process of portfolio valuations and revaluations, ensuring that the methodologies used are accurate, transparent, and aligned with industry standards
- Communicate portfolio performance and valuation updates to clients, providing detailed analysis and actionable insights
Training and Development
- Take responsibility for the training and professional development of selected staff within the asset management division, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to support the firm’s strategic objectives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, enhancing their expertise in investment products, portfolio management, and client relations
Creation of Technical and Product Materials
- Create and maintain technical and product-related material in support of the firm’s investment sales activity, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, and effective for client engagement
- Work closely with the product management and sales teams to ensure that all marketing and product materials reflect the firm’s offerings accurately and align with client needs
Client-Oriented Business Development
- Act as a client-oriented business developer, focusing not only on product expertise but also on understanding client needs and building long-term relationships
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients, high-net-worth individuals, and other stakeholders, ensuring their investment needs are met with tailored solutions
Primary Point of Contact for Product Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Product Management staff, ensuring accurate communication of client needs and prioritizing client requests.
- Work closely with internal teams to refine and consolidate product offerings based on client feedback and market demand.
Market Research and Investment Product Identification
- Identify market requirements for specific investment products and services based on established client needs and feedback.
- Work with the product management team to design new investment products and services that address emerging client needs and market trends.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA (preferred)
- Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) / CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a proven track record in portfolio management, product strategy, and client relationship management
- Experience working in a senior leadership or strategic role within asset management, with direct involvement in investment product development, marketing, and client servicing
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Business Acumen and Revenue-Generation: Strong commercial awareness and the ability to generate business by identifying client needs and providing suitable investment solutions
- Leadership: Proven leadership ability, with a focus on team collaboration, mentorship, and staff development
