Salt is currently hiring a Software Engineer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

The candidate would need to have kvk/zzp and it is paying around 100 euros per hour.

Overview

Design, build, and operate scalable backend services using modern cloud-native and AI-driven technologies. Own services end-to-end, from development through production, while contributing to system design, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Tech Stack

• Languages: Java (primary)
• Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
• Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems
• Data: SQL / NoSQL
• DevOps: CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code
• AI (Nice to have): Generative AI / LLM integrations
• Observability: Monitoring & logging tools

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Write clean, testable, and reusable code with strong test automation
• Own services end-to-end (deployment, monitoring, production support)
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive root cause analysis
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions
• Improve performance, reliability, and development processes
• Collaborate across teams and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong Java backend development skills
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Exposure to AI/GenAI is a plus
