Our client are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join their newly established and growing Data Science team working out of their Lisbon office on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge data science solutions across various business functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing data science solutions, including generative AI and machine learning models.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
Automating routine tasks and enhancing operational efficiency through innovative data solutions.
Designing and deploying novel approaches to underwriting, pricing risk, and supporting claims functions.
Utilizing public and private data sources, models, and cloud services to generate actionable insights.
Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Proven experience with a range of data science and generative AI tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Strong understanding of statistics to systematically assess AI/ML models.
Familiarity with generative AI and its applications.
Proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of code quality and version control practices.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
A proactive mindset focused on prototyping, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement.

Day-to-Day
Your typical day as a Data Scientist will involve:
