Xphlora is an Amsterdam-based fashion tech startup building a Shazam for fashion. You know that feeling when you see the perfect outfit on TikTok or Instagram and spend hours trying to find where it's from, only to end up with nothing? We're solving that.

Our app lets you screenshot any outfit, upload it, and instantly find the exact item, cheaper alternatives, and sustainable/ethical options powered by AI and visual search technology.

We're founded by a young Amsterdam-based entrepreneur with a clear vision, a strong brand, and real momentum. We're now building the team that will take Xphlora from prototype to market leader. This is early stage, moving fast, which means no bureaucracy, real ownership, and the chance to build something from the ground up that people will actually use every day.

About the role



As Technical Co-Founder, you lead everything technical at Xphlora. You're not just a developer, you're a builder, a decision maker, and a true co-founder. Success in this role looks like a polished, fast, reliable iOS app in the App Store by summer 2026, with a scalable technical foundation that can grow with our user base. You'll work directly with the founder and have real ownership over every technical decision.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Xphlora iOS app from the ground up using SwiftUI
• Own and make decisions on the full technical stack, frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure
• Integrate AI-powered visual search (Visenze) and affiliate network APIs
• Set up and maintain the backend database and user authentication (Supabase)
• Ensure the app is performant, secure, and scalable from day one
• Eventually recruit, lead, and mentor a development team as we grow
• Collaborate with the founder on product decisions and roadmap

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and shipping iOS apps using Swift or SwiftUI
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices
• Experience with or strong interest in AI, machine learning, or computer vision
• Familiarity with backend tools such as Supabase, Firebase, or similar
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear decisions
• Based in or able to work from Amsterdam (hybrid)
