Technical Project Manager – in CoE-H (Center of Excellence Hardware) Injection Moulding & Industrialisation
Connecting Product Development and the Product Introduction Factory
At VELUX, we believe that great products are created when development and production work hand in hand. We are now looking for a Technical Project Manager who will play a central role in bridging our Product Development organisation and our Product Introduction Factory, helping us bring high‑quality plastic components into stable and efficient manufacturing.
In this role, you will drive the industrialisation of new products, implement new injection moulding technologies and tools, and ensure effective collaboration across teams and sites. Your Responsibilities
As Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Serve as the primary link between Development and the Product Introduction Factory in all matters related to injection moulding
- Ensure a seamless transition from early design stages to fully industrialised production, including DFM, tooling concepts, pilot builds and validation
- Lead the implementation of new moulding technologies, methods and digital tools that improve our production performance
- Translate design requirements into robust and cost‑efficient manufacturing solutions in close collaboration with designers, toolmakers and production specialists
- Manage suppliers and technology partners to secure the right solutions and quality
- Drive production readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle and ensure a solid handover to volume production
- Facilitate collaboration across P&I (Product & Innovation), Tooling, Quality and Supply teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing learnings and enabling knowledge flow between development teams and the production plant
- A technical university degree or equivalent background
- Extensive experience within injection moulding, tooling and industrialisation of plastic components
- A natural ability to connect people, enable cross‑functional collaboration and align stakeholders
- Solid understanding of design‑for‑manufacturing principles
- Documented project management skills and the ability to lead activities from concept to implementation
- A structured and solution‑oriented mindset
- Experience working in an international organisation and a matrix structure
- Advanced communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 15–25 days per year)
