We are looking to strengthen our Savings and Investment teams with a skilled Fullstack Engineer to help us build the best digital experience for our customers within stocks, funds, and investment products.
About the team:
In Wealth Management, we aim to be the leading investment platform. We are responsible for the Spare app and the Funds and Stock trading solutions on DNB.no. Our entire stack is modern and runs in the cloud on AWS, from our web applications and backend services to our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure. Our teams own their services end-to-end, from development through deployment and production monitoring. We have diverse, cross-functional teams, consisting of product owners, engineers, UX designers and others.
Your mission as a Fullstack Engineer:
As a Fullstack Engineer, you will join a team of engaged and dedicated engineers working to build and improve our savings and investment platform. You will build and maintain web applications in React, backend services and APIs in C#/.NET and Kotlin, and the cloud infrastructure that ties it all together. You will interact closely with IT Architects, Product Owners, UX designers and other Engineers. You'll participate in everything from design, implementation, quality assurance, testing, deployment, monitoring and documentation of the services we build and maintain. Each team is responsible for their part of the product from concept to production, and we focus on creating the best developer experience and contributing to best practices and knowledge sharing. In this position, you will play a significant role in shaping how Norwegians save and invest.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for engineers with a growth mindset who inspire colleagues, with a mix of humbleness but who can also take the lead. You understand the value of cooperation to achieve great results. We have a hybrid work model and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being in the office, collaborating, whiteboarding, and building relationships with the team, while also appreciating the flexibility and focus that comes with working from home. If you’re interested in savings and investments, you will have even more fun at work!
Background and technical skills:
You should have solid experience across the full stack. On the frontend, that means React and TypeScript. On the backend, experience with C#/.NET, Kotlin, or similar languages for building services and REST APIs. You should be comfortable with CI/CD practices and have an interest in working smartly with AI coding assistants and agentic coding to enhance our productivity. We prefer that you have completed higher technical education, but we also acknowledge that extensive relevant experience may make up for this. Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English are expected.
It is also a big plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:
- Cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Implementing designs as accessible, high-quality frontend code.
- Containerization and serverless architectures
- Domain driven design
- Event-driven architectures and real-time data processing (e.g. Kafka)
What we can offer you:
Challenging tasks in a modern tech stack that allow you to grow professionally, competitive terms, a strong engineering culture, and good career opportunities. We have career ladders for growing as an engineer, and the possibility to apply for rotating tech lead roles and on-call participation. We support learning through training, pair programming, conferences, and courses, both to build your competence and to represent DNB externally. We offer AWS certification training and free access to LinkedIn Learning. DNB offers good pension conditions, employee terms on DNB's products, insurance schemes, access to cabins and apartments all over Norway, sports, cultural and other activities plus a wide range of discount schemes. We know the value of good work-life balance, so we also have flexible working hours, extra days off and reduced working hours from May to August (summertime). We want our developers to be happy and productive, so we provide high-end equipment and tools.
Work location:
This position is located in Bergen, in our modern offices in Solheimsviken. We support a hybrid workday with modern tools for digital interaction.
