Design Execution: Learn and apply core UX/UI principles to create wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity mockups.
User Focus: Participate in user research and use feedback to rapidly iterate on your designs.
Design Communication: Effectively communicate design decisions and specifications to your Engineering & Product Management peers for implementation.
Requirements
Collaboration: Work daily with the Product Designers to understand requirements and the Engineering team to ensure designs are feasible and correctly implemented.
Documentation: Help prepare design specifications and assets for the engineering handoff.
Design Systems: Learn about and contribute to the maintenance of simple component libraries or design systems for the internal product.
As a Product Design Intern, you will dive into the world of product design by collaborating directly with team. Your mission will be to design the user experience and interface for a real, internal product or client project (location dependent).
This internship is a hands-on opportunity to understand how great digital products are conceived, designed, and shipped. You will be responsible for turning product goals and user needs into clear, usable, and visually compelling designs.
You will advance your knowledge of/proficiency with design tools to explore different solutions, create prototypes for testing, and ensure the final product delivers a seamless experience.
Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Toronto, Canada and the pay range will be $20/hr. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
Job responsibilities
Concept Development and Ideation: Utilize tools and methodologies/collaborate with teams from other disciplines to generate insights and develop product and interaction concepts
Design Artifact Creation: Produce low-fidelity wireframes and user flow diagrams to quickly map out user journeys and screen architecture.
Visual Design: Develop high-fidelity UI designs and simple style guides for the internal product, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to best practices.
Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or equivalent to test and gather feedback on design concepts.
Iteration: Learn to embrace user feedback and data to quickly iterate on designs and advocate for simple, elegant solutions.
