Main Responsibilities:
- Originate strategic equity transactions with clients in South East Asia and India together with senior SECM originators and Coverage Bankers
- Maintain a regular dialogue with the key clients in the region. Build direct relationship with the key clients at C-suite level on strategic equity topics
- Lead on producing marketing documents, monitoring clients and competitors' activity in the strategic equity space
- Lead transaction approval process from business line side and liaise internally with legal, compliance, accounting, etc. to ensure all the specifics and/or constraints of the transaction have been properly addressed
- Update regularly SECM's internal stakeholders on new business angles, innovative structures, and changes in policy or regulatory requirements
Required Skills:
- Direct work experience in dealing transactions or covering relationship with clients (including corporates, family offices, etc) in the region
- Minimum 10 years work experience in the banking industry. 5+ years direct work experience in the investment banking and/or strategic equity business would be a plus
- Ability to interact comfortably with seniors of the clients and internal stakeholders as well
- Sufficient expertise in risk and credit assessment and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risks in particular the credit risk and market risk
- Good communication and presentation skills in English
- A proactive work ethic and a self-motivated mindset
