About the Project
Our client, as one of the leading tech companies in the world, operates in a complex, high-velocity, and highly matrixed environment where speed, clarity, and stakeholder alignment are essential. The Social Media Analyst is a key enabler for marketers to understand campaign impact across social, influencer, affiliate, and paid/earned channels. We are looking for a highly organised and trusted data-driven storyteller to support and scale the Social Media Insights & Analytics programme across APAC by turning data into clear, actionable intelligence.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with a background in social listening, reporting, and insights, who knows how to cut through noise, build the right research approach for the brief, and bring together multiple data sources into one cohesive story. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to uncover what matters, identify patterns and signals, and shape reporting that helps teams make smarter decisions across social, influencer, owned, earned, and paid activity.
Social Listening, Research & Analysis
- Conduct social listening and reporting across campaigns, brands, creators, audiences, and cultural moments to identify trends, sentiment, and emerging themes.
- Build customised social media research and insights planning approaches based on stakeholder needs and market context, rather than relying on one-size-fits-all reporting, while always seeking ways to build programmatic AI-driven reporting channels.
- Analyse complex social and digital performance data to uncover meaningful insights, patterns, and opportunities.
- Combine data from multiple sources — including owned, earned, and paid channels — into a more holistic view of performance and conversation.
- Work with internal teams and agency partners to ensure the right data sets, listening queries, and analytical frameworks are in place from the start.
Reporting, Insights & Storytelling
- Turn data into clear, compelling narratives that help stakeholders understand what is happening, why it matters, and what to do next.
- Create high-quality reports, insight summaries, and presentation materials tailored to different audiences and business needs.
- Ensure findings are clear, well-structured, and commercially relevant, with recommendations grounded in evidence rather than observation alone.
- Support the development of recurring and ad hoc reports that elevate understanding of campaign impact, audience response, and platform performance.
- Bring together quantitative findings and qualitative observations into reports that are easy to navigate and useful for decision-making.
Stakeholder & Project Coordination
- Partner with stakeholders across marketing, product, social, analytics, and agency teams to clarify objectives, align on reporting needs, and shape the right analytical response.
- Manage insight and reporting workflows with strong attention to detail, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and expectations are well coordinated.
- Collaborate with external agencies and data partners to retrieve, validate, and interpret data accurately and on time.
- Help improve reporting processes and ways of working so insight generation becomes faster, sharper, and more scalable over time.
- Contribute to a culture of curiosity, responsiveness, and continuous improvement across the analytics and insights workflow.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in social listening, insights, analytics, digital research, or reporting-heavy social/media environments.
- Strong working knowledge of social listening tools and confidence in navigating different platforms and data sources.
- Experience developing customised research methodologies based on specific client or stakeholder needs.
- Ability to build holistic reports that combine owned, earned, and paid data into one clear narrative.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex metrics and extract commercially relevant insights.
- Excellent storytelling skills — you know how to turn data into a compelling, actionable story, not just a deck of charts.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners in a structured and collaborative way.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation where priorities evolve and clear communication matters.
- Strong business English and confidence in presenting findings in a concise, polished way.
