Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications (NYC)

Hybrid — 3 days in office

A global strategic advisory and communications firm is seeking a Senior Vice President to join its growing New York leadership team. The firm partners directly with C‑suite leaders, founders, and executive teams across high‑growth technology companies, venture investors, and major enterprises operating at the forefront of innovation. From AI and frontier tech to high‑stakes strategic initiatives, this team works with organizations navigating some of the most consequential challenges and inflection points in their industries.

The SVP will help guide the firm’s next stage of growth, building, scaling, and leading high‑performing teams while serving as a trusted senior counselor to clients around the world. This is an opportunity for a seasoned communications leader to make a meaningful impact on both client outcomes and the internal direction of a fast‑moving global organization.

What Makes This Firm Stand Out

The firm takes a highly selective, advisory‑driven approach to communications and strategic positioning. Rather than acting as a traditional agency, the team works closely with CEOs, founders, and executive leadership on issues tied directly to business outcomes—from market expansion and regulatory milestones to capital raises and corporate transformation.

This model emphasizes strategic discretion, thoughtful client selection, and deep embedded partnerships. Senior leaders are empowered to guide clients through defining moments, shape narratives that influence markets, and help executives build the relationships and platforms that matter most.

The Role

The Senior Vice President will play a central leadership role across the organization. This includes driving the firm’s strategic vision, elevating client work, and developing the next generation of talent. The ideal candidate is a steady, insightful, senior operator—someone who can manage multiple complex workstreams across time zones while maintaining exceptional client relationships and high‑quality execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead senior‑level client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor embedded in key accounts and anticipating needs across multiple markets and time zones.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of excellence, transparency, and growth.
  • Drive business development efforts, cultivate long‑term relationships, and build a strong pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Shape narratives, messaging strategies, and multi‑channel communications programs for clients at pivotal strategic moments.
  • Expand and maintain strong ties across both traditional and emerging media, ensuring clients remain visible and well‑positioned.
  • Guide operational initiatives, from brand evolution to global strategy development, contributing to the long‑term direction of the firm.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to scale systems, processes, and organizational structures that support sustainable growth.

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of senior communications experience, including agency or advisory‑focused roles.
  • Proven track record leading teams and managing complex, fast‑moving client environments.
  • Deep expertise in technology and innovation sectors, with strong interest in areas such as AI, blockchain, B2B Tech, fintech, crypto, deeptech, and emerging tech trends.
  • Strong strategic instincts and the ability to counsel C‑suite leaders with clarity, discretion, and confidence.
  • Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills across formats and audiences.
  • Ability to identify new opportunities, contribute to business growth, and lead high‑value pitches.
  • Strong understanding of media (traditional and digital), along with fluency in how narratives move across platforms.
  • Global perspective or international experience is a plus.
