Junior Reserving Actuarial Analyst

-Support with quarterly reserving, including preparation of IFRS17-specific actuarial data with includes:

• creation of paid and outstanding claims triangles and reconciliation to the financials
• estimation of earned premiums
• estimation of claims IBNR reserves
• IFRS17 specific estimations
• support the external audit reviews.

-Preparation of reserving reports such as the annual FC`R for Qatar or the quarterly packs for the Reserving Committees.

-Interactions with key stakeholders across four countries (Qatar, UAE, Oman and Kuwait) with varying degrees of involvement and specifically with the Finance, IT, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Claims departments

-Support actuarial projects geared towards improving quality and granularity of the actuarial output and more automation.

Skills and Demonstrated Experience

• 1-2 years experience in General insurance.
• Effective communication skills - both written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Prior knowledge of ResQ or similar other non-life reserving tool desirable.
• IFRS 17 exposure desirable but not critical
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools and coding desirable.
• Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
