Handy Finance is building highly automated lending, settlement, and servicing platforms that handle sensitive financial data and make real financial decisions. We’re looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the reliability, security, and delivery of our cloud platforms - from code to production, end-to-end.
This role sits across engineering, QA, and operations, ensuring our systems are deployable, testable, observable, and well-documented, and that changes are released safely in a regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and operate secure, scalable Azure platforms supporting backend services and Salesforce-integrated systems
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support automated builds, deployments, and testing
- Own environment consistency across DEV, QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production
- Implement and maintain end-to-end testing pipelines, validating real workflows across systems
- Partner with backend engineers and QA to ensure:
- Core decisioning and settlement flows work end-to-end
- Integrations, edge cases, and failure scenarios are covered
- Ensure systems are observable and auditable, with monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Implement strong security controls, secrets management, and access policies
- Design and test rollback, recovery, and incident response processes
- Prepare and maintain clear, accurate API documentation, including contracts, schemas, and versioning, to support internal teams and system integrations
- Support reliable releases of policy-driven and AI-assisted services
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proven experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Containerised and serverless workloads
