Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long-standing client, a large organisation in the medical field operating a highly distributed national network. We are seeking a Data Network Engineer.
Role Title: Data Network Engineer
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 + super
Location + WFH Flexibility: Macquarie Park | Hybrid (3 days in office, flexible choice)
Client Industry: Medical / Healthcare
Role Details:
- Act as an L3 escalation point for complex network incidents
- Support and optimise enterprise WAN/LAN environments (Cisco-heavy)
- Troubleshoot across a large-scale, multi-site network (2,500+ locations)
- Participate in major incident bridges and service restoration
- Manage telco/vendor coordination (ordering, provisioning, escalations)
- Work across a federated stakeholder environment, acting as a key technical bridge
- Contribute to network uplift, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong Cisco networking experience (CCNP level)
- Routing (BGP focus)
- Switching (enterprise + branch)
- Strong Fortinet experience (highly preferred)
- FortiGate / SD-WAN exposure
- NSE4 or NSE7 certifications highly regarded
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale environments (e.g. banking, retail, government, healthcare)
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
