Senior Software Engineer (.NET / WPF / SQL)

The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain complex desktop applications built with .NET, C#, WPF and SQL.

You will play a key role in architecture decisions, technical analysis and long-term customer projects.

You will work in cross-functional Agile teams and contribute to building robust, scalable and maintainable software used by professional users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain .NET desktop applications (C#, WPF, SQL)
• Participate in software architecture and technical design decisions
• Ensure clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Work in Agile / Scrum teams on long-term customer projects
• Perform technical analysis and translate requirements into solutions
• Contribute to internal best practices and code quality standards
• Collaborate with product, QA and support teams
• Provide technical guidance and support when needed
• Maintain clear technical documentation
  
  

Required Profile

• Strong experience with C# / .NET development
• Solid knowledge of WPF and desktop application development
• Good experience with SQL databases
• Experience with software architecture and clean code principles
• Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
• Able to take ownership of complex technical topics
• Fluent English required

• Experience with mobile applications
• Experience with 3D, geometry or engineering software
• Knowledge of performance optimization

Working conditions

• Permanent contract
• Location: Ghent, Belgium
• Hybrid work (2–3 days remote after 6 months)
• No remote during first months (training phase)
• Salary €45,000 – €55,000
