User Experience Designer

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a UX Consultant, UX Researcher, or Digital Communicator
• Expertise in responsive design for web applications and high-fidelity prototyping using tools such as Figma or Invision
• Strong command of user research methodologies, including usability audits, heuristic evaluations, and field studies
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2) and tools like NVDA or WAVE
• Technical proficiency in web standards (HTML, CSS, XML), SEO, and version control using GIT
• Familiarity with Agile development principles and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of Drupal (10x, 11x), Europa Component Library (ECL), and JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) is highly advantageous
• Experience with the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps programmes is a significant asset
• Soft skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to coach/mentor teams while building trusted business relationships
• Languages: English (fluent)

Job Description:

• Facilitate participatory design, design sprints, and conversational design sessions to align with organisational goals
• Lead quantitative and qualitative research, including user requirements gathering, task flows, and synthesis of web analytics
• Design and execute usability studies, surveys, and field studies to inform data-driven decisions
• Develop UX writing and communicate strategic visions from an end-user perspective
• Bridge the gap between business units and development teams to ensure technical implementation meets user requirements
• Provide service design expertise and transfer UX knowledge across the organisation through coaching and mentoring
• Participate in technical working groups and progress meetings to report on UX findings and implementation status
