Context
The client manages a large IT environment with more than 10,000 endpoints and is seeking a Senior System Engineer specialized in endpoint management to ensure the reliability, security, and automation of workstation environments. The role focuses on the administration, security, and lifecycle management of Windows and Apple endpoints, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. The engineer will work on modern endpoint management platforms and contribute to maintaining a secure and compliant infrastructure. The position requires regular on-site presence in Brussels (city center).
Objective
The objective of this role is to manage and secure a large-scale endpoint infrastructure, ensuring efficient deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of devices while maintaining strong security standards and operational stability. The role also contributes to the automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of endpoint management processes.

Responsibilities
Endpoint Infrastructure Management
- Manage and maintain a large-scale endpoint environment exceeding 10,000 devices.
- Administer operating systems including Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, and iPadOS.
- Ensure effective lifecycle management of endpoints, including deployment, configuration, updates, and security management.
- Manage and operate Microsoft MECM, including full platform administration.
- Manage and operate Microsoft Intune, including full platform administration and configuration.
- Implement and maintain Modern Management strategies using Intune.
- Manage Autopilot deployments, compliance policies, and Intune packaging processes.
- Administer Jamf Pro (cloud version) for Apple device management.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security policies and controls.
- Deploy and operate EDR/XDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Implement security mechanisms such as BitLocker, FileVault, endpoint privilege management, and hardening through GPO and MDM profiles.
- Contribute to maintaining secure and compliant endpoint environments.
- Manage and configure Group Policy Objects (GPO) for endpoint configuration and security.
- Support Active Directory environments and related endpoint policies.
- Work with Azure services including Entra ID and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Develop and maintain complex PowerShell scripts for automation and endpoint management.
- Develop advanced Bash scripts for automation in macOS environments.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks across the endpoint infrastructure.
- Work with basic network services such as DNS, DHCP, and firewall environments.
- Understand and interact with VMware-based infrastructure and virtual machine environments.
- Ensure smooth integration between endpoint platforms and infrastructure services.
- Organize and secure large-scale deployments of updates, security configurations, and software packages across thousands of endpoints.
- Monitor deployment processes and ensure reliable and secure distribution mechanisms.
- Contribute to improving automation, efficiency, and operational reliability of endpoint operations.
- Support and mentor junior engineers and team members in areas such as packaging, automation, and endpoint security.
- Contribute to building internal expertise and technical best practices.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale endpoint infrastructures.
- Proven experience managing environments with more than 10,000 endpoints.
- Strong experience with enterprise endpoint management platforms.
- Experience working in regulated environments or organizations with strict compliance requirements is considered an advantage.
