Overview
An experienced DevSecOps Engineer is required to support a DevOps Centre of Excellence within a large enterprise environment. The role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and automated CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on security, resilience, and operational excellence across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes in line with best practices
- Integrate and maintain artefact repositories using JFrog Artifactory
- Implement security and code quality scanning using Snyk and SonarQube
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner
- Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure compliance with security standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance and reliability
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions (e.g. Azure App Insights, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Work within Agile teams using Jira for delivery and workflow management
- Promote DevSecOps best practices and contribute to engineering standards and playbooks
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments
- Advanced Terraform expertise (Infrastructure as Code)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerisation
- CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub Actions
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory
- Security tooling experience with Snyk and SonarQube
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps
- Monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Experience working in Agile environments using Jira
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Security-first mindset with a solid understanding of DevSecOps principles
Desirable
- Experience with OpenShift
- Exposure to other CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with additional cloud platforms
- Relevant certifications (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, DevSecOps)
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
