Job Summary:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with experience in Fortinet firewalls and Aruba LAN switching who will also act as the Network Service Owner (Fortinet firewalls and VPNs, Aruba switches). This role is responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and high-quality network services while owning the service lifecycle, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Design

• Define long-term IT Infrastructure (Data Communication Network) service goals and strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Plan and manage investments and budget for assigned IT service in cost efficiency way.
• Assess and translate business needs into an IT service strategy.
• Collaborate with IT Architects to design DPD Baltics Data Communication networks service architecture.
• Ensure Data Communication networks compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Lead capacity and availability planning for DPD Baltics Data Communication networks.
• Oversee assigned IT service documentation, including external support services agreements.
• Ensure Disaster recovery plans for IT Service are in place, lead disaster recovery testing.
• Initiate and approve Data Communication Network changes.

Operational Responsibilities

• Hands-on operations support (configuration, troubleshooting, management), up to 50% of worktime.
• Document and manage Data Communication Network problems and risks.
• Collaborate with IT Support to ensure incident resolution and Data Communication Network availability.
• Lead root cause analysis for incidents and oversee corrective actions.
• Coordinate patching, upgrades, and other Data Communication Network lifecycle management activities.

Continual Service Improvement (CSI)

• Identify opportunities for IT service optimization and cost savings.
• Define and monitor IT service metrics and KPIs.

Other Responsibilities

• Carry out additional assignments from the direct manager, ensuring they align with company goals and policies.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Aruba switching
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security principles
• Experience working in IT service management environments
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Service-oriented mindset with accountability
• Clear communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant Fortinet and/or Aruba certifications
• Experience in a service owner or service management role
• Knowledge of automation or modern Data communication Network architecture
• Hands-on experience with modern network management tools
