On behalf of our client, a global biopharmaceutical company (focus on oncology) headquartered in the Basel area and currently having more than 11,000 employees worldwide, we are seeking, starting 4 May 2026 and for an expected term until 31 Dec 2026 (as may be extended) a "Senior Manager, Projects & Business Development New Markets (100%; Contractor)". Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Head of New Market Commercial and Head of Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Operations, lead the implementation of Go-to-Market initiatives in the client's "New Markets" territories. Lead a project regarding the transformation of Operating Model and Organization in one of the client's key markets

• Evaluate and implement Target Operating Models, assess scenarios to make fit-for-purpose decisions, and develop a cross-functional implementation plan incl. activities and timelines, coordination with all stakeholders, risk management strategies, go-live decisions, and managing the transition phase. Partner with stakeholders across functions: the Country Organization, the New Markets regional functions and the client's global functions such as Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Quality, PV, Regulatory and Supply supporting New Markets

• Oversee Contract Life Cycle Management of the client's product related commercial services namely Initial Partner Evaluation, Request for Proposal (RFP), Due Diligence, decision on preferred vendor, contracting, contract fulfillment and contract updates, renewal or termination

• Drive the project management processes: project planning, progress control, status reporting, risk and dependency management, change management

• Identify gaps, potential bottlenecks, delays and risks. Challenge assumptions and propose options to close gaps and get projects back on schedule

• Guide and manage preparation for project achievement reviews

• Facilitate the adequate flow of information among stakeholders. Facilitate and document key project meetings and decisions, and ensure project documentation is complete

• Support the Head of New Market Commercial and Head of Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Operations in strategic and operational initiatives; where appropriate, serving as the lead for those initiatives

Requirements:

• At least Bachelor's degree in Economics within the healthcare sector or a similar field, supplemented with a Project Management Certification such as PMP and/or PRINCE

• 15+ years of related experience in cross-functional Project Management covering multiple countries and cultures with advanced knowledge of project management methodology, tools and practices. Proven track record in transformation of complex projects both from process and organization perspective. Solid understanding of supply chain flows and source to contract process

• Fluency in English (at least level C1); additional languages like German or Spanish would be a plus

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and teamwork skills. Ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships to engage resources outside of direct control, meet deadlines and achieve goals and objectives

• Good problem-solving ability, breaking down complex problems into distinct parts

• IT user proficiency in MS Office, Project Management Tools, e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet

• Strong analytical skills, structured thinking and focus on results as well as the ability to deliver

• Ability to strive for pragmatic solutions and be assertive and persuasive

• Distinct hands-on mentality; you like to tackle and convince. You are initiative oriented, flexible and independent

• Ability to work in unstructured and ambiguous environments

• Ability to business travel up to 10%

• Residence in Switzerland (with Swiss work permit) or a cross-border permit (if residence in Germany or France) are required
