Role Overview
As Technical Operations Specialist – Digital Assets, you will be a vital contributor for the daily operational excellence of all digital asset operations across Europe. You will combine hands-on technical troubleshooting with structured operational coordination across monitoring, incident management, wallet operations, partner/vendor management, and cash/field-service processes in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

Role Overview
As Technical Operations Specialist – Digital Assets, you will be a vital contributor for the daily operational excellence of all digital asset operations across Europe. You will combine hands-on technical troubleshooting with structured operational coordination across monitoring, incident management, wallet operations, partner/vendor management, and cash/field-service processes in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
This position requires strong technical coordination skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to lead service teams and vendors in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain day-to-day TechOps scopes (systems, processes, and operational controls).
- Own system monitoring and alert handling; ensure uptime and rapid issue detection across services and integrations.
- Incident management, including troubleshooting, technical escalations, coordination with stakeholders/vendors, and post-incident follow-ups.
- Execute and control wallet operations: monitor wallet balances, ensure operational readiness, sweeping, transaction signing and operational controls around critical transaction flows.
- Run and coordinate operational flows such as exchange loads and forex trades, ensuring traceability and timely execution.
- Coordinate ATM field operations: technician daily planning, on-site ticket prioritization, and hands-on support for setups/moves/maintenance.
- Coordinate with external providers/partners on server security & maintenance and operational execution to ensure SLA compliance.
- BCM and Emergency Management (DORA-aligned): Maintain and execute TechOps business continuity runbooks for critical services including clear RTO/RPO targets, failover/restore steps, and evidence from regular DR tests.
- Outsourcing Management: Support oversight of ICT third parties (e.g., custody/wallet providers, cloud, monitoring) by tracking SLAs and security obligations, coordinating periodic controls reviews, and maintaining operational documentation for vendor risk, audit readiness, and exit/transition planning.
- Proven experience in a technical operations, support, or production operations role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and structured problem-solving in high-availability environments.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system monitoring.
- Basic server administration know-how (Linux), including routine updates and security patching.
- Knowledge of security best practices and incident response; ability to handle operational risk calmly under pressure.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills (tickets, vendors, technicians, cross-team dependencies).
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive; capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Knowledge of Bitcoin, blockchain, or cryptocurrency operations is a strong advantage.
