Junior Robotics ML Engineer — Qualia

We need a hungry junior engineer who's deep into ML, excited about robotics, and wants to grow fast at a company shipping real infrastructure for foundation models.

What Qualia does

What you'd work on

Training pipelines, model integration, evaluation tooling, inference optimization, and dataset infrastructure. You'll work directly with models like Pi0, GR00T, and SmolVLA—not just reading papers about them.

Stack: Python, PyTorch, CUDA, Docker Rust, Terraform, Postgres

What we're looking for

• Strong Python. You've trained models, not just imported them.
• Solid fundamentals in ML
• Exposure to robotics, RL, imitation learning, or embodied AI (coursework, research, or personal projects all count).
• You've built something end-to-end that actually worked.
• Comfortable reading papers and turning them into code.
• Based in Europe or willing to relocate.
• You want to learn fast and ship faster.

Nice to have

• Experience with diffusion models, VLAs, or policy learning
• Familiarity with sim environments (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, LIBERO)
• Contributions to open-source ML projects
