On-Premises Infrastructure Engineer

Malmo, Sweden (2-3 days a week on-site)

€55,000-€70,000 base salary

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's growing infrastructure team. If you're a proactive, technically skilled professional who enjoys a challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll be responsible for designing, deploying, and securing our client's core on-premises IT infrastructure, playing a vital role in supporting their enterprise systems and ensuring business continuity.

What You'll Do:

• Manage Infrastructure: You'll deploy and manage on-premises hardware, including servers (Windows/Linux), storage (SAN/NAS), and networking devices. You'll also configure and maintain virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V, and administer core services, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Ensure Network & Security: You'll oversee LAN/WAN performance, manage firewall rules and VPNs, and apply patches and updates to keep systems secure. You'll also work closely with cybersecurity teams on audits and incident response.
• Handle Backups & Disaster Recovery: You'll configure and manage backup platforms (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and regularly test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Automate Infrastructure: Here, you will automate infrastructure processes using scripts or IaC with Ansible.

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining enterprise-grade infrastructure.
• A strong working knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage technologies, network protocols, and backup solutions.
• Strong expertise in Ansible.
