We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer from either healthcare or a highly regulated industry to support the design, implementation, and operation of modern platform engineering practices within a highly advanced data and technology environment. This role will focus on enabling secure, scalable, and automated delivery of data, AI, and application workloads across hybrid and on-premise infrastructure.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and supporting containerized platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.

You will work closely with platform, data, and AI teams to ensure environments are consistent, resilient, and production-ready.

You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters across hybrid and on-prem environments, contributing to platform reliability, scalability, and performance.

This is a highly technical role requiring strong Linux systems knowledge and a proactive approach to automation, observability, and security best practices.

• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for application, data, and AI workloads
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters, including networking, storage, scaling, and upgrades
• Support hybrid infrastructure environments across cloud and on-prem platforms
• Implement observability practices including monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Integrate security controls such as RBAC, secrets management, and encryption into DevOps workflows
• Contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data, AI, and engineering to deliver reliable platform solutions
• Optimise infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Support governance and compliance requirements through automation and best practices

Discover the requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 2+ years in DevOps or platform engineering
• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift in production environments
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry
• Experience working in cloud and hybrid environments (preferably Azure)
• Understanding of security and governance practices including RBAC and secrets management
• Strong Linux systems administration skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
