Position: DevOps Specialist

Location: Toronto, ON


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms, a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and expertise in tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, and various DevSecOps tools. The role requires excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, as well as hands-on experience with Linux/Windows administration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure or similar platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Work with Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, and other build tools to support development and deployment workflows.
  • Implement and manage DevSecOps tools to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve system performance.
  • Perform Linux/Windows administration tasks, including system monitoring, patching, and configuration.
  • Ensure best practices for source control, branching, and versioning using tools like GitHub and Bitbucket.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools, trends, and technologies to continuously improve processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Bitbucket, and other version control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
