YOUR ROLE
At Palo IT, technical leads are expected to be AI-native by default and act as technical authorities for their teams and projects. As a Technical Lead (AI-Native), you will own the technical direction and project execution for engineering teams while actively embedding AI and Generative AI into how teams work by default.
You will lead and manage a team of engineers, providing full-stack expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring delivery excellence. Working closely with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders, you will shepherd technical decision-making and provide thought-leadership through both traditional development practices and AI-augmented workflows.
You will apply Palo IT's Gen-E2 methodology to drive quality, speed, and responsible AI adoption across projects and teams.

YOUR ROLE
At Palo IT, technical leads are expected to be AI-native by default and act as technical authorities for their teams and projects. As a Technical Lead (AI-Native), you will own the technical direction and project execution for engineering teams while actively embedding AI and Generative AI into how teams work by default.
You will lead and manage a team of engineers, providing full-stack expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring delivery excellence. Working closely with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders, you will shepherd technical decision-making and provide thought-leadership through both traditional development practices and AI-augmented workflows.
You will apply Palo IT's Gen-E2 methodology to drive quality, speed, and responsible AI adoption across projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery Ownership
- Own the technical direction and roadmap for engineering projects.
- Provide full-stack expertise to the engineering team and establish best practices on code quality and performance.
- Shepherd technical decision-making process and provide thought-leadership.
- Provide architecture-level and code-level feedback for the engineering team.
- Build confidence in project delivery through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring and analytics.
- Monitor project progress and delivery quality across teams.
- Ensure timelines, outcomes, and engineering standards are met.
- Champion AI-native ways of working across the team, including AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation.
- Define and enforce AI/GenAI best practices, including:
- Prompt and context engineering standards
- Output validation, guardrails, and fallback strategies
- Code review standards for AI-generated code
- Stay current with emerging GenAI trends and tools and translate them into practical, value-driven implementations.
- Act as a technical authority and coach on Gen-E2 practices and responsible AI/GenAI adoption.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality code and projects.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and career development planning for team members.
- Manage performance through clear goal setting, regular feedback and reviews, and identification of growth opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-driven culture.
- Recruit and build high-performing engineering teams.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business problems, design solutions, and lead implementation.
- Partner with Sales and Presales teams to shape proposals, solution approaches, and contribute to technical responses and estimations.
- Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to scale delivery efficiency.
- Support Palo IT thought leadership through research, experimentation, and publication.
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience including recent experience in client and team management.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Deep technological expertise in fullstack development. Preferred technologies include ReactJS for frontend development and NodeJS/Java/Python for backend development.
- Experience in developing scalable, reliable, and secure applications.
- Experience with solution architecture.
- Strong understanding of common programming patterns and principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering work (not just theoretical exposure).
- Hands-on, daily use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent).
- Strong grasp of prompt and context engineering for engineering workflows.
- Proven experience defining and enforcing GenAI best practices across teams.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams on effective and responsible AI tool usage.
- Critical thinking to validate and verify AI-generated code and solutions.
- Experience with any emerging technologies (Decentralised Identity, Realtime-cross border payment, Quantum computing, Advanced Smart Contract etc..).
- Experience with AI/ML services and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Mobile development experience (Swift for iOS, Android, native or hybrid).
- You lead high-performing, AI-native teams.
- You own technical direction and deliver production-grade applications with excellence.
- You define and enforce best practices across teams and projects.
