Position Summary:
The Director – Data Analytics will lead the end-to-end analytics strategy for TOD, transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance, growth, and customer experience across the OTT ecosystem.
The role combines strong technical depth with commercial acumen, acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership across Product, Marketing, Commercial, Technology, and Operations. Will be deeply focused on developing TOD and BMG data into a monetizable asset.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Data Strategy & Governance
- Own and define TOD’s data analytics vision, roadmap, and operating model.
- Oversee data collection, storage, processing, and governance to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Drive the integration of new and existing data platforms, tools, and sources.
Advanced Analytics & Insights
- Lead advanced analytics initiatives including predictive modeling, machine learning, and customer behavior analysis.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights supporting decision-making at executive level.
- Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities across content performance, subscriptions, churn, revenue, and engagement.
Big Data & Technology Enablement
- Guide the use of big data technologies (e.g. cloud platforms, Spark, Hadoop, modern data stacks).
- Partner closely with Technology and Product teams to ensure analytics solutions are scalable, efficient, and future-ready.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted analytics advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams (Product, Martech, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance).
- Translate business requirements into analytics use cases and measurable outcomes.
- Present insights, dashboards, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to executive stakeholders.
Performance Management
- Define, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs and dashboards across the organization.
- Measure the effectiveness and ROI of analytics initiatives and data-driven programs.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing analytics team.
- Foster a data-driven culture across TOD through capability building and best practices.
Education:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, with senior leadership experience in a complex, digital or consumer-facing environment.
- Experience in OTT, media, digital platforms, telecom, or subscription-based businesses is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale analytics initiatives and teams.
