Position Title: INSTRUMENT DESIGNER
Position description – Purpose
Responsible for preparing and reviewing instrumentation documents (As applicable) and preparing of ASB drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc. Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements while supporting multi-discipline activities/works. And uploading approved documents in DMS with asset tag linking.
Position description – Roles & Accountabilities (but not limited to):
Technical Abilities
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Instrumentation Design and ASB within Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in AutoCAD (2D/3D) drafting for Instrumentation layouts, cable routing, and control system drawings JB’s etc..
• Knowledge of international and company standards for instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience/knowledge with Smart Instrumentation (SPI) or equivalent database tools.
• Capable of preparing/updating Hook-up drawings, Loop diagrams, JB schedules, and Instrument Index etc.
• Understanding of DCS, ESD, and F&G system interface drawings.
Responsibilities
• Develop drawings and documents for instrumentation systems using AutoCAD and other applications as applicable.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project/ASB specifications.
• Support field surveys and site verification when required.
• Coordinate with piping, electrical, and mechanical disciplines as required to resolve documents interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with OLNG CAD standards and quality management systems.
• Mentor junior designers and support knowledge sharing within the design team.
Experience and Qualifications required
• Diploma in Instrumentation / AutoCAD certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Instrumentation designer, including at least 5 years in OLNG or similar LNG facilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD. and MS Office.
• Familiar with Design and ASB phases and design deliverables
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
