B.E.S. (Business & Engineering Solutions) is growing and thus welcoming new Robotics & Computer Vision Research Engineer in our Automotive team.
As a Robotics & Computer Vision Research Engineer at B.E.S., you will enjoy a collaborative environment where you will work closely with others in an organisation focused on innovation.
As part of our advanced robotics research activities, you will contribute to the development of digital twins for industrial robotic systems. This project builds on collaborations with leading research institutes and aims to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world deployment.
Your Responsabilities:
- Design and develop a realistic simulation environment replicating manufacturing scenarios
- Build robotic mockups to test solutions under near real-world conditions
- Extract and leverage human demonstrations in simulation
- Develop and train robotic policies using imitation and/or reinforcement learning
- Integrate perception and control algorithms into real robotic systems
- Contribute to validation and testing on physical robots
- Collaborate with international and multidisciplinary research teams
Your Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering (minimum MSc, PhD is a plus)
- You have 1–3 years of experience in robotics, computer vision, or machine learning
- Strong research mindset with analytical thinking skills
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach to real-world problem solving
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Experience integrating perception and control systems for real-world robotics
- Strong background in motion control algorithms (reinforcement learning / imitation learning)
- Solid knowledge of computer vision and vision foundation models (including multimodal models)
- Experience with physics-based simulation environments for training robotic policies
- Understanding of foundation models in vision and multimodal AI
- Tools : Python, C/C++, PyTorch, TorchVision, OpenCV, Linux, Docker, Git, AWS / HPC; Gazebo, PyBullet, NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Omniverse, Unity, ROS1 / ROS2
- Knowledge of Gaussian Splatting and 3D rendering techniques
- Familiarity with object-centric perception (3D reconstruction, pose estimation)
