What You Will Work On
Your mission
Own and build Emidat’s Digital Product Passport (DPP) venture from the ground up. You will be responsible for turning a regulatory requirement into a high-growth revenue engine, positioning Emidat as the primary "Data OS" for the circular economy in construction.
As our Venture Lead for DPP, you will wear three hats: 0-1 Product Architect, Strategic Sales, and Regulatory Diplomat. You will identify the early movers in the building materials industry, demo our DPP vision, close contracts, and translate customer feedback into working prototypes. You are a "consultant-entrepreneur" who isn't afraid of complex EU delegated acts or high-stakes demos with C-suite stakeholders at global industrial giants.
The ideal candidate has a "Product-Led Sales" mindset—someone who can sell a vision while simultaneously sketching out the API requirements to make that vision a reality.
In the first 6 months, you will
- Iterate the Product: Build from 0 and test low-fidelity prototypes and digital "mock-passports" with customers to define our MVP features (e.g., QR-code infrastructure, role-based data access for recyclers).
- Bridge to Core Product: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the DPP venture is architecturally aligned to merge with our core EPD platform.
- Own the DPP Revenue Engine: Identify and close our first 10 "Lighthouse" customers for DPP, managing the entire cycle from initial demo to contract signature.
- Regulatory Positioning: Attend and represent Emidat at key EU regulatory discussions, ensuring our platform is seen as the standard-bearer for DPP technical specifications (e.g., Asset Administration Shells).
- Market Evangelism: Speak at 2-3 major industry fairs (e.g., BAU or digital construction summits) to cement Emidat’s authority on the future of circular material data.
What you should bring to this role
- Languages: Business Fluent in German and English.
- Venture/Product-Led Sales Experience: 4+ years of experience in a high-ownership role (Venture Lead, Founder, or early-stage Product Management) where you owned both revenue and product direction.
- Product Management: Experience building a product from 0-1, ideally in a B2B Software Environment.
- Technical Literacy: Comfortable discussing APIs, data interoperability, and digital twin concepts with technical stakeholders.
- Strategic Closing: Proven experience navigating complex enterprise sales and contract negotiations in the DACH region.
- Regulatory Stamina: Experience digesting complex EU regulations (i.e ESPR/CPR) and translating them into simple, value-driven business cases for customers.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the building materials supply chain or the "Circular Economy" landscape.
- Technical Background: Experience with GS1 standards, Asset Administration Shell (AAS), or blockchain-based traceability.
- Network: Existing relationships with sustainability leads at major construction or manufacturing firms in Germany.

Admin
- Role type: Full-Time
- Location: Munich, Germany
- Office: Office based.
- Travel: Required. Expect to travel at least once per month across DACH to visit customers and attend regulatory summits in Brussels/Berlin.
- Visa / Relocation: Preference will be given to candidates already based in Munich and that do not require visa sponsorship. However, we are open to candidates who may need relocation or a visa.
