JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead the installation of tank bays. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing the project schedule, supervising the design process, managing budgets, and ensuring the successful delivery of the project within planned timelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical processes, which will contribute to understanding technical challenges and stakeholder needs throughout the project lifecycle.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and track the project schedule, milestones, and critical path activities
  • Oversee the design process, coordinating between engineering teams and external designers as required
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and report variances or risks proactively
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives and quality standards are met
  • Lead regular project meetings to monitor progress, discuss challenges, and drive resolutions
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Support commissioning, testing, and handover processes as required


EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related technical field (chemical/process engineering highly desirable)
  • Proven experience managing installation/construction projects within heavy industry or chemical process environments
  • Strong understanding of technical design, process engineering, and mechanical installations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Skilled in budget management, scheduling (e.g., with MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent), and reporting
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification advantageous
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
