We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance our data‑centre network services in Dublin. This role suits someone who thrives in high‑availability environments and enjoys solving complex network challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and optimise data‑centre network infrastructure.
- Monitor service levels, capacity and performance 24/7.
- Deliver network changes and projects on schedule.
- Work with architects and PMs to design and implement solutions.
- Build, deploy and document network configurations.
- Develop and test DR and failover plans.
- Ensure compliance with security and ITIL processes.
- Drive service improvements and automation initiatives.
- Provide technical consultation to customers and stakeholders.
Required Experience
- CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security).
- Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, ASR, F5 LTM/DNS.
- Expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, IDS/IPS.
- Solid ITIL experience in a 24x7 operations environment.
- Practical knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VRF, VPC, HSRP, NAT, ACLs, iRules, etc.
Desirable
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
- Experience with Nagios, Cacti, Puppet.
- Vendor management (Cisco, F5, Kemp).
- Background in hosting, MSP or regulated environments.
