Role Summary
This role supports digital transformation and data strategy initiatives, with a strong focus on improving data quality, structure, and usability. A key priority is developing the organisation’s business intelligence capability. This includes enhancing data governance, improving data models, digitising data capture, and standardising datasets to enable more advanced analytics and predictive insights. The role works across multiple systems and stakeholders, translating business needs into data-driven solutions and supporting the development of analytics and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret data to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through data and analytics.
- Support development of data governance, data models, and structured data.
- Contribute to building business intelligence and predictive analytics capability.
- Gather requirements and act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
- Support data quality, migration, integration, and interoperability initiatives.
- Research data standards and contribute to solution design and proof-of-concepts.
- Provide data-related technical support and collaborate across teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Relevant third-level qualification.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Experience working with large datasets and data transformation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
- Experience or interest in data governance, data modelling, and business intelligence development.
- Experience with tools such as Python or R.
- Experience with system integration and APIs.
Additional Information
Experience in building business intelligence and predictive analytics capability is desirable but not essential. The role offers strong support for professional development, with opportunities to build these skills as part of a key strategic focus.
