The job

The People Operations Specialist ensures smooth, compliant, and human-centred People Ops delivery across the employee lifecycle — and helps strengthen employee engagement across Flo.

This role is for someone striving to build their career in the People team, who is excited by systems and processes, enjoys supporting people, and has a genuine growth mindset. At Flo, we’re intentionally becoming an AI- and automation-driven People Ops team. We use technology to reduce manual work, improve quality, and create space for the work that requires human judgment and care. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to be curious, proactive, and comfortable experimenting with tools to make work better.

Responsibilities/tasks

Employee lifecycle delivery

  • Act as a primary People Operations contact for employee lifecycle support: onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves, payroll inputs, and policy adherence.
  • Support compliance with employment legislation by partnering with Legal and People teams.
  • Handle employee lifecycle updates in Hibob, SODRA and BSS, keeping records accurate and up to date.
  • Facilitate timely work permit extensions for expats in Lithuania and support new job permits and change-of-employer processes for joiners.
  • Manage employee queries and learning requests via JIRA, ensuring timely, high-quality resolutions and a great experience for employees and managers.
  • Maintain and optimise people data integrity in HiBob and other systems; provide analytics, dashboards, and reports to stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT) to keep workflows connected and operational delivery smooth.

AI-first workflow improvement

  • Analyse, simplify, and automate workflows using AI and other tools (Google Sheets, lightweight scripts, automations) to reduce manual touchpoints and improve reliability.
  • Contribute ideas and ship small improvements continuously (templates, checklists, structured intake forms, better tracking, clearer documentation), learning by doing and building on the go.

Employee engagement

  • Be a Flo culture ambassador: help employees immerse into Flo ways of working from their early days and reinforce our values through day-to-day People Ops touchpoints.
  • Organise engagement initiatives and events that strengthen belonging and connection across Flo (celebrations, social events, swag, etc.), coordinating with People/Office partners as needed.
  • Own the company swag strategy and routinely execute it.

Key results/objectives

  • Timely, compliant execution of People Ops processes and documentation across the employee lifecycle.
  • Consistent, high-quality support to employees and managers with an exceptional service mindset (fast, accurate, friendly, clear).
  • Reliable people data and reporting that stakeholders can trust.
  • Employee engagement initiatives are delivered consistently, with high participation, smooth execution, and positive feedback.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of working experience with high operational ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; service mindset and high discretion.
  • Ability to work autonomously, spot issues early, and keep multiple workstreams moving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Growth mindset and continuous learning orientation
  • Practical comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work (drafting, summarising, structuring, improving templates/workflows) and curiosity to expand that skill responsibly.
  • Strong Google Sheets/Excel skills.
  • Fluent English, Lithuanian A2+

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in economics/statistics/employment law or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong reporting/dashboarding skills and confidence turning data into clear operational insights.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives (events, internal comms, recognition programs).
  • Experience working in a tech or high-growth international company.
  • Proficiency with systems and data tools.

The salary range for this role is from €2,600 per month. We remain open to discussion depending on your experience, expertise, and overall fit for the role.
