We're working with a well-known fintech product team that is part of a broader ecosystem backed by one of the Netherlands' largest banks! They've built something millions of people use every day.
They're looking for a Back-end Engineer (medior or senior) who cares about doing things right and grow with this team where developers are trusted to make decisions, contribute ideas, and work closely together in a flat structure. Impact matters more than job title.
What you'll be working on:
- Building and maintaining back-end services in an event-driven, microservices architecture
- Working across serverless AWS infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, EventBridge)
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and IaC (AWS CDK preferred)
- Owning your domain - security, observability, and quality baked in from the start
What they're looking for:
- Go experience (strong preference) β or compiled/strongly typed languages like Rust, C/C++, Java, C#
- Solid AWS background, ideally with serverless and event-driven stacks
- Comfortable with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
- Someone who takes ownership, thrives in a flat org, and values ideas over titles
- Medior: works independently, collaborates well, contributes to architecture discussions
- Senior: brings technical leadership, mentors others, thinks long-term
