Role Purpose
To own the moment-to-moment feel of Nurture’s adventures. This role brings interactions, UI flows, and animations to life so our experiences feel smooth, responsive, and joyful for young children. You will take defined gameplay and systems and elevate them through thoughtful UX, timing, polish, and performance. You will work closely with our Senior Unity Engineer, Creative, and Learning teams to ensure every interaction feels intuitive, safe, and emotionally aligned with our characters and learning goals.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
AI Platform Development
- Develop game mechanics that are AI-native and integrate seamlessly with genAI systems.
- Build and maintain game tools, editors, and systems — across engines and web platforms — that embed AI capabilities directly into production workflows.
AI Integration & Performance
- Integrate AI-generated assets and behaviours into game engines and web-based runtimes while ensuring alignment with game mechanics and performance requirements.
- Debug, refine, and validate AI outputs to meet animation, rigging, skinning, and in-engine constraints.
- Ensure AI-driven systems work reliably with existing gameplay architecture and full-stack infrastructure.
Systems Architecture & Automation
- Architect scalable systems for ingesting, processing, and deploying AI-enhanced content across game engines and web frontends.
- Build automation that removes manual steps and accelerates iteration across the full production pipeline.
- Implement efficient data flows between backend AI services, game tooling, and content teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, artists, technical directors, and learning designers to ensure tools and AI systems meet production requirements.
- Provide technical input on workflow improvements, engine constraints, and AI-enabled production efficiencies.
🎯 Skills & Qualifications (Essential)
Essential
- 5+ years in game systems or tools development across one or more engines (Unity, Unreal, Babylon.js, Godot, or similar)
- At least two shipped titles across mobile, web, or desktop platforms
- Proficient in full-stack development: modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and backend services (Node.js, REST, WebSocket, gRPC, and/or GraphQL)
Preferred
- Experience integrating backend systems into real-time game engines.
- Experience with LLM structured content generation (i.e. JSON).
- Experience with LLMOps (e.g. Langfuse, Braintrust, Weave)
- Experience with procedural content generation techniques (art, sound, etc).
- Experience scripting art tools (e.g. Maya, Blender)

Hybrid or remote working, with at least a 4-hour overlap with the Spanish working day.
