DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, the Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has continuously delivered global technology solutions, playing a key role in the bank’s technology transformation.

We are looking for a VP Frontend Engineer to join our Treasury Technology team, contributing to the development of enterprise-grade applications within the Autobahn platform, Deutsche Bank’s digital interface used by internal users and corporate clients.

You will work on a large-scale React application, built using modern technologies and micro-frontend architecture, with full ownership across frontend architecture, delivery, and quality.

You will work on a large-scale React application, focusing both on frontend architecture and UI engineering, ensuring that complex financial data is presented clearly, efficiently, and consistently across the platform.

Your key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the frontend architecture, including micro-frontend strategy (Module Federation)
• Design and implement scalable, reusable UI components and patterns
• Ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across the application
• Deliver high-quality frontend solutions using React and TypeScript
• Ensure end-to-end delivery, from development and testing to release and production readiness
• Define and enforce quality standards (testing, code quality, performance)
• Optimize performance and responsiveness of complex data-driven UI
• Collaborate closely with backend, QA, product and design teams
• Act as a technical leader and mentor for other engineers in the team

Your skills and experience

• Strong hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development
• Solid experience in building complex, data-driven user interfaces
• Good understanding of UI architecture, component design, and state management
• Experience with TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, React Query
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures (Module Federation is a plus)
• Experience with modern build tools (Vite or similar)
• Knowledge of testing practices (Jest, React Testing Library, E2E tools)
• Experience in optimizing UI performance and handling large datasets
• Previous experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
