Senior Full stack Developer

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer on the Payments Checkout Team, you will contribute to the design and development of a next-generation, highly scalable payments platform. You will work on critical components of the payments ecosystem, including vendor integrations, charge operations, recurring billing, taxation, credits, and other key payment functionalities. The role offers an opportunity to drive innovation across the full payments stack and deliver high-impact solutions. of the mentioned systems and it is also a unique opportunity to build core components at scale.

What you'll be doing:

• As a member of the team, you will be working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, interacting with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
• You will be actively involved in every part of the software development cycle, such as designing, coding, reviewing, and test writing by different weights from time to time.
• You will relentlessly refactor existing systems to make them more robust, maintainable, and scalable
• You will be using best software development practices and processes, and willing to spread this knowledge/experience to the team.
• You’ll be contributing to a team culture that values openness, quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering innovation.
• Work on innovative ideas in the payments domain to be future-ready.
• Design, specify, implement and deploy planet-scale new payments features and services.

What you’ll have:

• Have a BS/MS in CS or equivalent discipline.
• Have 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Are team-oriented, friendly, reliable, humble, receptive to feedback, and gain satisfaction from teamwork, and are a great learner always seeking improvement points.
• Have a deep sense of quality, and sharp engineering skills with strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design abilities including object-oriented design patterns.
• Are self-driven, own your services by all dimensions and intrinsically have a desire to get things done.
• Have experience in developing web applications.
• Have troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Have curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow.

Nice to have:

• Experience over at least one programming language (Python, Java, Kotlin).
• Experience with web application technologies including JavaScript, React, NextJs, HTTP, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Have basic understanding about large-scale software design, caching, resiliency, databases, service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design and distributed programming.
