About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Analyst specializing in Data & Analytics for Retail Operations. In this pivotal role, you will help shape and implement modern data products that empower unified commerce and data-driven decision making across our retail landscape. You will serve as a key liaison between business, technical teams, and product managers, ensuring that business processes are optimized, innovative solutions are delivered, and stakeholder expectations are consistently met. Your contributions will directly influence the strategic direction and operational excellence of our retail data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Provide Data & Analytics expertise to enhance and innovate business processes, offering both functional and technical insights.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to develop and maintain the product backlog, identifying and prioritizing key business capabilities and improvement opportunities.
- Create detailed user stories with relevant acceptance criteria, scenarios, and estimation of business value and technical requirements for backlog items.
- Prepare and execute user acceptance test cases, develop training materials and user manuals, and provide comprehensive post-go-live support.
- Engage proactively with all Data & Analytics stakeholders—including business leaders, technical teams, and product managers—to ensure seamless alignment and close any gaps.
- Develop and maintain Business Analysis documentation, including process maps, design flows, specifications, and wireframes.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas needing additional configuration or new solutions.
- Perform functional analysis and model business processes with a focus on key results and targets, ensuring alignment with data & analytics needs.
- Contribute to the design and testing of reports, system interfaces, forms, and data conversions, including validation and reconciliation activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Data & Analytics products, becoming an early adopter and advocate for emerging technologies.
- Drive transformation initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement toward an agile operating model, enhancing speed to market, quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst in Data & Analytics, with demonstrated proficiency in applying agile principles and methodologies.
- Strong background in global retail and store operations, with hands-on experience in business process analysis and design.
- Expertise in requirements gathering, user story development, and business value estimation within Data & Analytics environments.
- Excellent client-facing skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effective outcomes.
- Experience in developing business analysis artifacts (process maps, wireframes, specifications).
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and execute user acceptance testing and provide post-implementation support.
