We are partnering with a UAE Federal Government Entity to help fill the following vacancy: Senior Backend Developer (.NET)
This is a full-time position that will be directly employed by our client, not Whiteshield. Our role is solely to assist in the recruitment process—further details will be provided upon the successful shortlisting of applicants.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power mission-critical digital platforms. Working within a modern, cloud-native environment, you will contribute to the development of microservices-based architectures, ensuring systems are robust, secure, and built for scale.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into well-structured technical solutions, while driving best practices in software design, integration, and delivery. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.

5+ years .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API)

5+ years .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API)
- Microservices with domain-driven design and hexagonal/ports-and-adapters architecture
- Dapper ORM - Event-driven patterns
- Kafka or Azure Event Hubs, pub-sub, eventual consistency
- SQL Server - Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- OAuth2/OIDC integration (Keycloak or similar)
- Structured logging (Serilog)
- Integration adapter patterns for external APIs
- Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault)
- Kubernetes, containerized deployments
- SAST/SCA security scanning in pipelines
