Job Title: Senior Product Designer II

Job Purpose:

The Senior Product Designer II is a strategic design leader responsible for driving large-scale product initiatives across Floward’s digital platforms. This role takes ownership of experience design across multiple squads or complex product areas, influencing product strategy, enhancing design operations, and setting new standards for quality and consistency. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and UX Research, the Senior Product Designer II translates user needs and business objectives into elegant, intuitive, and scalable product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Design Leadership

• Lead the design vision and roadmap across multiple squads or a large product domain.
• Translate complex business goals into cohesive and impactful product experiences.
• Influence cross-functional planning and decision-making with design insights and expertise.

Advanced UX & Visual Design Execution

• Solve highly complex UX problems through advanced prototyping and interaction design.
• Ensure pixel-perfect execution and visual consistency across products.
• Own and drive the evolution of design quality and craft across platforms.

3. Research-Driven Product Thinking

• Partner with researchers and data analysts to uncover user insights and market trends.
• Define research plans and synthesize findings into product strategy recommendations.
• Represent the user perspective in strategic product decisions.

4. Design Systems & Scalability

• Expand and maintain Floward’s design system to ensure scalability and consistency.
• Create robust component libraries, interaction patterns, and usage documentation.
• Promote design reuse and system thinking across teams.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work alongside senior product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders to align design with strategy.
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Advocate for user-centered design in product development processes.

6. Mentorship & Talent Development

• Mentor junior and senior designers, providing feedback, coaching, and career growth guidance.
• Promote a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
• Lead critiques and design reviews, setting the tone for high performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in UX, HCI, Design, or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

• 7+ years in product design, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or strategic role.
• Demonstrated success in designing scalable consumer or B2B digital products.
• Strong experience in using Figma, prototyping tools, and design system platforms.
• Proven ability to influence product direction at both tactical and strategic levels.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
