Calgary, AB (YYC)
Confidential Opportunity | High-Growth Environment
We’re partnering with a well-established, highly respected General Contractor in Calgary that is expanding its commercial construction division. This is a rare opportunity to join a team at the ground floor of a growing business unit, with strong backing, a solid reputation, and a clear pipeline of work.
If you’re a commercial construction Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — this is built for you.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects, typically ranging from $500K to $10M+, with select projects reaching into the $15M–$20M range.
These are fast-moving, client-facing projects across office, retail, and light commercial environments — requiring strong coordination, adaptability, and decision-making.
You Will
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and trades
- Drive budgets, schedules, and execution
- Play a key role in shaping processes, standards, and team growth as the division scales
- Ground-floor opportunity in a growing division with strong leadership backing
- Entrepreneurial environment — your voice and ideas will matter
- Direct exposure to leadership and clients
- Real runway for advancement as the group expands
- Strong compensation + upside tied to performance and growth
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Proven experience delivering tenant improvement (TI) projects
- Strong understanding of fast-paced, interior-focused builds
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
This role is specifically focused on commercial tenant improvement work.
While experience in heavy industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas construction is respected, the day-to-day demands of TI construction — including tight timelines, interior sequencing, and client-facing delivery — are quite different.
For that reason, candidates with direct commercial TI or interior construction experience will be best positioned to succeed in this role.
The Bottom Line
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you’re not just managing projects — you’re helping build something.
If You’re Looking For
- More ownership
- More visibility
- And a chance to grow with a business, not just work in one
