Senior / Principal Node.js Engineer (Remote - U.S.)

We're looking for a Senior or Principal‑level Node.js Engineer to help build and scale a modern enterprise SaaS platform. You’ll work hands‑on with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud technologies while shaping architecture, improving system reliability, and mentoring other engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain scalable APIs, services, and microservices using Node.js + TypeScript.
• Improve performance, reliability, and code quality through testing, type safety, and strong design practices.
• Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver secure, observable, high‑quality systems.

What You Bring

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, async patterns, and Node.js architecture.
• Strong experience with API development (REST/WebSockets), identity/auth (SAML, OAuth, OIDC), and secure coding.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and best practices for building secure, scalable systems.

Nice to Have

Experience with monorepos, React, WebRTC/WebSockets, AI tooling (Copilot, Cursor), CRM integrations, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, or strongly typed languages like Java/C#/Go.

Location

• 100% Remote (U.S.)

Compensation

• The target range for this role is $180,000-$190,000 base, with a maximum of $200,000 for top‑tier candidates. Equity is included.
