As a Entry-Level Data Scientist, you will play a key role in analyzing data and building models that generate valuable insights to inform business decisions. Your work will involve handling large datasets, applying statistical techniques, and developing predictive models.
Primary Duties:
- Design, configure, test, and support informatics and data science solutions for a range of technical challenges.
- Apply analytical methods to diagnose data-related issues, develop solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Document and present requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and clients.
- Develop strategic data modeling processes, ensuring accurate identification of cause-and-effect relationships.
- Support the development and maintenance of shared libraries and tools utilized by various teams.
- Contribute to the strategy for achieving rapid prototyping.
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of raw data to ensure it’s suitable for analysis.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists to refine models and improve their predictive accuracy.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to identify potential data-driven solutions to business challenges.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to enhance models and strategies.
Professional Experience:
- Experience in an ML engineering or data science role, focusing on building machine learning models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala.
- Experience working with integrated development environments, data integration, data visualization, and analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience managing large datasets, uncovering hidden patterns through data analysis, using data visualization tools, writing SQL, and utilizing GPUs for model development.
- Experience in preparing and cleaning raw data for analysis, ensuring high data quality.
- Exposure to working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and processing.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and deliver data-driven presentations.
- Previous experience with version control systems like Git, contributing to collaborative projects.
- A Bachelor's degree combined with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
