We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to make the path of code, from a developer's mind to our customers, as fast, secure, and efficient as possible. You will be the architect of the "software delivery highway" for a project that deploys FE & BE code to Kubernetes, using Postgres and S3 resources hosted in AWS. The code repository is hosted in Bitbucket, where the existing (inadequate) CI/CD pipelines run. The application is currently hosted on Vercel, and we intend to migrate the runtime to Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Understand how NextJS applications are typically configured and deployed to Kubernetes.
- You can define a build process for dynamic environments such as for QA which partitions resources per Jira epic, including set up and tear down of Postgres DB, S3 bucket and sensible configuration management, deploying code from a specific git branch.
- You will define a release process that promotes and rolls back code and manages database migrations while minimizing disruption. This includes promoting code from QA to staging, and from staging to production.
- Manage and optimize Postgres and Object Storage infrastructure connected to NextJS deployments.
- Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and governance policies.
- Experience defining and debugging Bitbucket CI/CD and scripting with Bash, Python, etc.
- Participate in architectural decisions, providing the infrastructure’s point of view.
- Help on writing and diagnosing issues with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Argo CD.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of tools.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholder

- At least 5 years of experience in SRE/DevOPS role or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AWS or GCP services and infrastructure management.

- Proven track record of managing complex environments and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc) and git.
- Experience with shell scripting, python and/or automation tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
