The Role: Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising modern data solutions that enable clients to make smarter, faster decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data systems and pipelines
• Analyse, organise, and transform raw data from multiple sources
• Evaluate business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct complex data analysis to uncover trends and actionable insights
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling
• Build algorithms, prototypes, and analytical tools
• Enhance data quality, reliability, and availability
• Identify new opportunities for data acquisition and automation
• Work collaboratively with data scientists, architects, and cross‑functional teams

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a strong technical foundation and the curiosity to explore new ways to solve data challenges.

Essential Experience

• Proven success operating within Data Engineering teams
• Expertise with relational and MPP databases (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Strong data modelling skills (e.g., Kimball/Star Schema, Data Vault)
• Proficiency in SQL, including designing queries on large, complex datasets
• Experience with cloud and big‑data technologies such as Databricks/Spark, Airflow, Snowflake
• Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL tools like dbt, Fivetran, and related frameworks
• Strong knowledge of technologies such as Python, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Parquet, Hadoop
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders
