Contract Web & AI Developer (React / Containerised Solutions) – 6 Month Initial Contract

3 Days a week in Perth

We are seeking an experienced Contract Developer with strong expertise in modern web technologies and AI integration to support the delivery of scalable, containerised applications. This is an initial 6-month contract with potential extension.

The role focuses on building robust web-based solutions using React, integrating AI services, and deploying applications within containerised environments. You will also be responsible for producing high-quality technical documentation to ensure smooth operational handover to support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain performant, scalable web applications using modern web frameworks
• Integrate AI services and APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Grok, and similar LLM platforms) into production-grade applications
• Design, build, and deploy containerised solutions using tools such as Docker and OpenShift
• Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and system monitoring
• Produce clear and detailed technical documentation, including solution design artifacts and operational handover guides for support teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure solutions follow best practices in performance, security, and maintainability

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience in web application development
• Proficiency in React and modern front-end engineering practices
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and OpenShift
• Experience integrating AI APIs/services (e.g. OpenAI, Grok, or equivalent LLM platforms)
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
• Ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation
