The Role

We are looking for an Associate Cyber Security Consultant (CSC) to join our growing Australian team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their cybersecurity career who is keen to build hands‑on experience in a Security Operations environment while working closely with clients.


The role provides foundational cybersecurity support across monitoring, incident triage, documentation, and operational activities, with strong exposure to industry frameworks and leading SIEM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate CSC, you will:

  • Support effective, professional communication with clients, providing regular updates
  • Assist with organising and supporting weekly Security Operations (SecOps) meetings
  • Review, triage, and escalate basic security incidents, logs, and service integrations
  • Manage service requests related to client onboarding and operational support
  • Assist with monitoring security controls and identifying potential gaps
  • Accurately document client network and security architectures
  • Ensure deliverables are completed in line with agreed SLAs
  • Support the creation and testing of basic SIEM use cases within tools such as:
  • IBM QRadar
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Google Security Operations


Skills & Experience

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF)
  • Basic experience or exposure to SIEM tools (QRadar, Sentinel, or similar)
  • Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and security concepts
  • Awareness of risk management principles
  • Basic understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
