SQL Specialist – 100% Remote

Are you an experienced SQL expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and can hit the ground running? We're looking for a skilled SQL Specialist to join JJ Marshall Inc on a short-term engagement and make an immediate impact on a high-volume reporting environment.

About the Role

You'll take ownership of a critical SQL reporting backlog, cleaning up, restructuring, and optimizing hundreds of custom reports while supporting state audit responses and financial data gathering. This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can work independently and deliver results fast.

What You'll Be Doing

• Clean up, restructure, and optimize existing custom SQL reports
• Identify and consolidate duplicate reports to improve efficiency
• Support state audit responses and financial data gathering
• Manage and respond to a backlog of report requests

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Strong background in custom report building (high-volume output preferred)
• Experience with financial data and audit reporting is a plus
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a backlog
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Available to work CST timezone
• Intermediate to senior level, entry-level profiles will not be considered
