Role Overview

The Video Editor will produce short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram and paid ads that are engaging, trend-aware, and aligned with our brand. This role is ideal for someone who loves skincare and beauty, lives in social media culture, and knows how to turn raw footage into polished content that connects with our audience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transform UGC, influencer clips, and brand shoots into ads that feel authentic, on-trend, and true to our brand identity.
  • Edit raw footage into short, engaging TikTok and Instagram videos.
  • Use eye-catching edits: clean transitions, quick cuts, trending sounds, and storytelling hooks.
  • Add captions, text overlays, music, and effects while keeping the skincare/beauty audience in mind.
  • Ensure videos are exported in the correct formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for each platform (TikTok, Instagram, Reels, Stories, and paid ads).
  • Stay on top of TikTok & Instagram trends.
  • Keep video assets organized and workflows smooth for ongoing projects.


Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio of short-form content.
  • Proven track record of creating high-converting paid social media ads and working extensively with UGC.
  • Portfolio examples in beauty, skincare, or cosmetics content are preferred - you understand the audience and the aesthetics.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, for seamless communication and creating platform-native captions.
  • Passionate about cosmetics/skincare culture - you enjoy this world and bring genuine interest into the content.
  • Experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects.
  • Comfortable working in CapCut or mobile-friendly apps when quick, social-native edits are needed.
  • Up-to-date with social media culture, trends, hooks, and viral formats.
  • Strong technical knowledge of video requirements for social media (aspect ratios, frame rates, resolutions, file sizes, export settings).
  • Highly detail-oriented, delivering content that is both on-trend and brand-consistent.
  • A degree in a creative field (film, media, communications, design) or background in filming/content creation is a plus (not required).
